Play Date anyone?
Wilmington Bike Polo is thinking of opening up another day to play. We currently play in Newark, DE every tuesday around 7pm. I am thinking a Saturday at 10am would be fun and feasible for everyone.

would this be in newark also? i want to make some boards for the tennis court near UBP, which would make a wilmington location possible again. i’d be much more likely to play up north on saturday am.

That’s a really good idea. I’m sure if we built the side boards we could just leave them there. Either way that’s a really good idea. Let’s go for it. Lets get up a list of materials needed and split the cost between the group.

i’m optimistic that we could build 1ft high boards along the middle of the court (framing out the holes would be a little tricky) for $200 or less. need probably 4-5 sheets of OSB and a bunch of 2x4s.
cons: not really that strong, passes wouldn’t bounce that great, prone to being damaged by weather easily (might last a year if we’re lucky)
pros: cheap, keeps the ball in play (which is really what we need)
if people keep their eyes out for scrap lumber we could probably do it even cheaper…i think oz was talking about using shipping pallets if we can get our hands on a bunch of those and break them apart.
